BALUCHARI SAREES :
This saree from Bengal is usually five yards in length and 42” wide in flame red, purple and occasionally in deep blue. Nestling in rural Bengal, amidst lush green paddy fields, punctuated by picturesque pukurs (ponds) are entire weaver villages engaged in creating the equivalent of poetry on fabric.
